The Barbados-born England cricketer Jofra Archer is not a part of international cricket for the last 17 months. He played his last international last year in the month of March in a series against India. He sustained an injury in his elbow during the series against India. Later on. The speedster happened to make a comeback for his county team, Sussex after the elbow surgery.

But unfortunately, just a few days later, he sustained a stress fracture in his back. The injury was such severe that he had to miss many major international tournaments for England while he was recovering from this injury.

Although, in a good piece of news for England cricket fans and the England team as well, Jofra Archer is all set to travel with the squad of England Lions for their training ahead of England’s Test series against Pakistan. This training will be held in the United Arab Emirates.

Notably, this is being termed as the latest development in the rehabilitation and recovery process for the World Cup winner speedster. Earlier, when Archer sustained this injury, the England and Wales Cricket Board came up with a statement and informed the fans and media regarding the same.

“After being diagnosed with a stress fracture to the lower back, England and Sussex seamer Jofra Archer has been ruled out for the rest of the season,” said the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in their statement.

Archer was bought by the five-time champions of the Indian T20 League, Mumbai for last year’s edition of the tournament. But he couldn’t play any match throughout the entire season. Just a few months back, he also happened to retain the central contract of the national cricket team of England.

Speaking of his international career, The Caribbean-born veteran has played 13 Tests, 17 ODIs, and 12T20Is scalping a total of 86 international wickets to his name.
