The Mumbai franchise will begin their Indian T20 League 2023 campaign on 2 April against the Bangalore franchise at the Chinnaswamy stadium. So, Rohit Sharma along with his Mumbai teammates is preparing hard ahead of the competition. However, they have already dealt with some major blows as both Jasprit Bumrah and Jhye Richardson will miss the tournament due to injuries.

Jofra Archer missed the last edition of the Indian T20 League due to injury for the Mumbai franchise
The Mumbai franchise bought the England star in the 2022 mega auction for INR 8 Crores. But, he missed the entire season but the franchise showed a lot of faith in him by retaining him for this season. Before that, he used to play for the Rajasthan franchise. In 2020, Jofra Archer impressed everyone by taking 20 wickets in 14 matches.
Regarding his importance, the head coach, Mark Boucher said: “Jofra has come off a major injury and he's been playing a lot of cricket of late which is good. He's in a good space at the moment, he's really ready to get out there and perform. Hopefully, he can kickstart the Indian T20 League with a bang."
On the other hand, Rohit also had a terrible last season as the skipper as Mumbai finished in the last position. With the bat also, Rohit Sharma scored only 268 runs in 14 matches without any centuries or fifties. So, a big season awaits the Mumbai skipper and fans will hope for a much better performance from him this year.
