Star Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav has made a stunning comeback in Test cricket after a long wait of 22 months. The 28-year-old scalped 4 wickets by conceding only 33 runs in 10 overs on day 2 of the first of the three-match Test against Bangladesh. Notably, The Kanpur-based spinner made his comeback in red-ball cricket on the very day of his birthday, the 14th of December.

He played his last Test match against South Africa earlier this year in the month of January. Since then, the fans have continuously been targeting the Indian Cricket Board for not picking up Kuldeep in the Test squad.

Now, after his brilliant performance in the comeback Test, the fans are overwhelmed and lavished on his performance against the hosts. They took to Twitter for appreciating the star spinner.

Speaking of the match after the end of the second day's play, Indian bowlers have scalped eight wickets of the hosts only on the score of 133 runs.Β  Apart from the heroics of Kuldeep, Mohammed Siraj also claimed 3 wickets with one wicket picked by Umesh Yadav.

Senior batter Mushfique Rahim is the only one to score the highest individual runs with a score of 28 runs with three boundaries. Apart from him, ODI skipper Litton Das also played a knock of 24 runs alongside 20 runs with three boundaries.

Earlier, the Indian team posted a total of 404 runs, thanks to the brilliant 92-run partnership between Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav for the eighth wicket. Ashwin played a crucial knock of 58 runs with two boundaries and two sixes to his name. Kuldeep accompanied him with an important knock of 40 runs including five boundaries.

On the first day of the match, Cheteshwar Pujara and Shreyas Iyer stitched a partnership of 149 runs for the fifth wicket. Pujara played a knock of 90 runs followed by an 86-run knock by Shreyas Iyer. Other than these two, a short cameo of 46 runs by Rishabh Pant.
