The 16th edition of the Indian T20 League will begin on 31 March 2023. The defending champion Gujarat franchise will take on the Chennai franchise in Ahmedabad in the tournament opener. However, an opening ceremony will also take place on the same day ahead of that mouth-watering fixture.

According to reports, many famous celebrities like Katrina Kaif, Tiger Shroff, Arijit Singh, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tamannah Bhatia will perform in the opening ceremony. However, the participation of the Bollywood actress, Tamannah Bhatia has been confirmed on social media platforms. Now, an image has gone viral ahead of the ceremony where some drone light show got observed. 

A 45-minute opening ceremony is going to happen in the Indian T20 League 2023

It seemed that a drone show is most likely to happen during the ceremony. Seeing that, fans went crazy and shared their views on the social media platform. Speaking of the opening ceremony, it will reportedly begin at 6 pm and will run for 45 minutes. However, all 10 teams’ captains will not be able to present at the ceremony. Only, the Gujarat skipper Hardik Pandya and the Chennai skipper, MS Dhoni will be present. Speaking of the first match of the Indian T20 League 2023, the organisers have already claimed that all tickets have been sold as it is going to be the first home game for Gujarat in front of their fans.

Meanwhile, in this upcoming edition of the Indian T20 League, Indian players will be monitored carefully. According to recent reports, the Indian Cricket Board have already told all franchises not to over-bowl Indian bowlers in the nets as they should avoid serious injuries ahead of the WTC final and the ODI World Cup. The list of reported bowlers is Mohammed Siraj (Bangalore), Mohammed Shami (Gujarat), Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav (Kolkata), Deepak Chahar (Chennai), Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel (Delhi), Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal (Rajasthan), and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, and Washington Sundar (Hyderabad).
