Following his double century, Gill also made it to the headlines for a massive revelation about his fellow teammate Ishan Kishan. He came up with this revelation during a conversation with Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan himself following the conclusion of the match.

Ishan Kishan happened to initiate this conversation by asking about the pre-match routine of Shubman Gill following an interruption from skipper Rohit Sharma.

Later on, Gill replied and talked about his pre-match routine in which he mentioned how Ishan doesn’t let him sleep with his activities in the room.

Isko main gaali deke bolta hu bhai awaz Kam Kar le ya earphones Laga le. Par ye bolta hai 'tu mere room mein so raha hai. Meri marzi se chalega. Har roz ladai hoti hai. (I abuse him and ask him to turn down the volume, but he says it is his room and the rules will be according to him. I fight with him daily). This is my pre-match,” answered Gill followed by a burst of laughter from Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan.
