‘Isko kis baat ka ghamand hai bhai’ - Fans react to viral image of Naveen-ul-Haq silencing Eden Garden crowd during KKR vs LSG clash in IPL 2023

On 20 May 2023, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) locked horns with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the ongoing IPL at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. However, LSG managed to win the game by just one run and sealed their berth in the playoffs. But, during the match, LSG’s Naveen-ul-Haq was seen with some gestures toward the Eden Garden crowd.

While fielding at the boundary rope, the Eden Garden crowd was chanting ‘Kohli, Kolhi’ to tease the LSG pacer. So, when Gurbaz’s wicket fell, Naveen was seen silencing the crowd with fingers on his lips. The image went viral instantly and fans came up with some hilarious comments on social media.

Naveen-ul-Haq conceded 46 runs in four overs without taking a single wicket

Naveen-ul-Haq made headlines when he got involved in an ugly bust-up with Virat Kohli during the LSG vs RCB clash in IPL 2023. So, after that in many games, fans were seen teasing him with the chant of ‘Kohli, Kohli’. Speaking of the match, Naveen had a terrible night with the ball as he got smashed for 46 runs in four overs. But, still, LSG managed to win the game and sealed their palace in the playoffs. LSG batted first and scored 176 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. In reply, KKR managed 175 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs and fell short by just one run.

During the post-match presentation ceremony, the LSG skipper, Krunal Pandya said: "Very happy... we never gave up. At one stage they were 61 for 1, and we felt just two or three tight overs can change the state of the game. There was grip for the spinners. Rinku has been special every game. You can't take him easy. But it's a high-pressure situation when bowling those death overs. I went with my gut and gave Yash instead of Mohsin the last over. It just paid off."
