Ishant Sharma is one of the most experienced Indian pacers. The veteran can prove to be a handy pick as he has worked on his bowling in the shortest format of the game. Besides, he is superb with the new ball.

When it comes to the biggest Indian T20 league in the world, the pacer has picked 72 wickets in 93 games at an average of 37.51. His economy rate is 8.12, which is decent in this format of the game. Moreover, he has a knack for picking wickets in the powerplay overs.

2) Imran Tahir

Imran Tahir is arguably one of the greatest spinners in the shortest format of the game. Time and again, he has proved to everyone that age is just a number. He has a superb record in the toughest T20 league as well.

In the 59 matches in which he has played, Tahir has picked 82 wickets, at an average and strike rate of 20.77 and 16.05 respectively. Besides, he won the Purple Cap during the 2019 edition. Another important point to be noted is the fact that he was an integral part of Chennai for several seasons.

3) Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina is unarguably one of the greatest players to have played the Indian T20 league. There aren't too many players who have a legacy as big as him in the toughest 20. Over the years, he has been synonymous with the Chennai-based franchise.

The veteran has played 205 games in this league, and has scored 5528 runs at an average of 32.51. Thus, the fact that he went unsold itself was shocking, to say the least. However, whenever any team requires a replacement, Raina would surely be one of the first individuals who would be considered.

4) Paul Stirling

Paul Stirling is a complete package. Be it batting or bowling, he can prove to be a valuable asset to any team he plays for. Besides, he has been superb in the recent past as well.

He has scored 2776 runs in 102 T20Is at an average of 29.96. He has a healthy strike rate of 134.69 as well. Besides, the Irish all-rounder has also picked 20 wickets.

5) Chris Lynn

Chris Lynn is well and truly a T20 superstar. Although he has been more popular for his exploits in the Big Bash League, his record in the Indian T20 league is fairly good. In fact, he was one of the integral members of Kolkata.

There were several occasions where the Indian fans got to witness "Lynnsanity". The Aussie has scored 1329 ITL runs in just 42 innings, which includes ten fifties.
