Mumbai are languishing at the bottom of the points table with 3 wins in 14 matches. However, they will be taking some positive from this season and are expected to bounce back strongly next year.  Nevertheless, Rohit Sharma and Co. would be hoping to end their campaign with a win on Saturday.

Players to watch out for:

The skipper has shown glimpses of form in this edition of the tournament. He has gotten starts but couldn’t play a big knock with the bat. In the last game, the captain missed out on a half-century by just 2 runs. Hopefully, he plays a big one on Saturday.

  1. Ishan Kishan

Ishan Kishan, too, has been in decent touch. His recent knocks should inspire confidence. He played a handy knock of 43 runs in 34 balls in the last game and is currently the second high run-getter for the franchise.

  1. Tim David

Tim David has been one of the biggest positives for Mumbai this year. Given, how he has batted in the last few matches for the team, the franchise would be confident that they have a found a new finisher for the future. In the last game, he played a sensational knock of 46 runs in just 18 balls, before, unfortunately, getting run-out.

Probable Playing XI:

Ishan Kishan (wk), Rohit Sharma (c), Daniel Sams, Tilak Varma, Ramandeep Singh , Tristan Stubbs, Tim David, Sanjay Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Riley Meredith, Mayank Markande

Delhi:

For Delhi, it’s a do-or-die game. Their hopes of reaching the playoffs are dependent on this game. Delhi would be looking to play their best game on Saturday. Rishabh Pant and Co. are coming into the game on the back of two consecutive wins and would be confident of making it a hat-trick of wins.

Players to watch out for:

  1. David Warner

David Warner is the biggest bet with the bat. He has scored runs consistently for the franchise and will the player to watch out for. Warner got out on the very first ball in the last game but he is expected to play a big knock on Saturday.

  1. Mitchell Marsh

Mitchell Marsh has come back into form just at the right time. Marsh has played a massive role in helping the team win the last two matches. He played a match-winning knock of 63 runs in 48 balls in the last game against Punjab. He will be the one to watch out for.

  1. Rishabh Pant

It’s hasn’t been a great season for Pant with the bat. He isn’t in bad form but has failed to play big impactful knocks. Ahead of an important game on Saturday, Pant will hold key to the team’s fortune. It will be interesting to see how he approaches his innings.

Probable Playing XI:

David Warner, Sarfaraz Khan/Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Lalit Yadav, Rovman Powell, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje, Khaleel Ahmed

Pitch Report:

The pitch is a happy hunting ground for the batsmen. Adequate bounce on the surface makes it easy for the batters to hit sixes and fours. A high-scoring contest is up on the cards as the fans can expect a cracker of a game. With dew coming in later, both teams should look to bowl first upon winning the toss.
