Babar Azam-led Pakistan has been the talk of the town for the last couple of days following their surprising bounce back in the tournament after losing two matches consecutively against India and a lower-ranked team like Zimbabwe. But later on, they made a stunning comeback to shock the other teams participating in the tournament.

The men in green entered the final of the tournament after defeating Kane Williamson’s New Zealand in the first semi-final of the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup.

Meanwhile, former legendary Pak pacer Shoaib Akhtar who was continuously hitting the headlines of social media for his comments and analyses on the performance of the Pakistan cricket team.

Recently, Akhtar came up with a video once again on his official YouTube channel where he backed the Pakistani team for their performance in the crucial final against the three lions.

"Pakistan lost the world cup but you guys did a great job. You were standing nowhere but ultimately; you played the finals. Well done Pakistan’s bowling attack. You guys did an exceptional job throughout the tournament. Luck was indeed a factor but they played well and made it to the finals,” said Akhtar in his video.

“I’m standing with you and nothing to worry about. You guys really played well. It’s hurting, and I’m disappointed, but it’s fine. We gonna stand by you as a nation. India mein World Cup uthayenge (If almighty wills it, we shall lift the World Cup in India)," he added later.

Although Shoaib Akhtar’s prediction of Pakistan winning the next year’s ODI World Cup in India gave a chance to some of the Indian cricket fans to take a jibe at the 47-year-old. They took to Twitter to react to the comments from the former legendary Pakistani speedster.
