An India - Pakistan match is a dream for any adherent cricket fan. The teams don't play each other in bilateral series and only clash in world events and Asia Cup. Both teams recently faced each other in the 20-20 World Cup in 2021 and Pakistan managed to beat India for the first time in the history of world events. However, India has a chance to avenge that loss as both the teams are slated to face each other during the 20-20 WC 2022.

Former Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez feels that India are dependent on Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, and they will struggle to beat Pakistan if the duo doesn't perform.

"At this moment, Pakistan team is growing and as far as India is concerned, I think Virat and Rohit are very important players and in big games like Pakistan, if these two don't get the runs, it is very difficult for the other Indian players to deal with the pressure of such big games, though I am not taking anything away from the other players," said Mohammad Hafeez while speaking to Sports Tak.

He also drew light on his dream to be a part of a Pakistan win against India in a WC game, and how he could achieve it before he retired. "I always had this wish that if we (Pakistan) do win against India in a World Cup game, I should be part of it. I am proud of the fact that it did happen and I was part of it," he added. Hafeez is currently representing Asia Lions at the inaugural Howzat Legends League Cricket in Oman.

It is to be noted that the 41-year-old recently announced his retirement from international cricket. Thus, he went on to speak about his decision, and how it was something he was planning all along. The batting all-rounder also stated that he always wanted to retire on a happy note.

"Retirement was always something that I was planning but I was pushing myself to be part of a World Cup winning Pakistan team. I wanted to retire on a happy note and wanted to set a precedent that a player has to retire on his own terms and happily," said Hafeez
