The pitches have come under scrutiny across the globe in recent weeks. In India, the pitch came under criticism as the Test matches between India and Australia finished within three days, whereas the pitches in Pakistan have come under huge scrutiny because of its flatness.

In a recent Pakistan Super League fixture between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans, the pitch received a huge backlash as the team scored 242 in the stipulated 20 overs.

Batting first against Multan-based outfit, the Peshawar franchise scored 242 for the loss of six wickets at Pindi Cricket Stadium. Babar Azam was the highest scorer for the side, scoring 79 runs from just 39 deliveries.

The most expensive bowler was Anwar Ali, who conceded 66 runs in four overs. Abbas Afridi was the most successful bowler for Multan Sultans as he not only picked four wickets but also conceded less than ten runs per over.

Pakistan cricket had the distinction of hosting one of the competitive tournaments, as the pitches were sportive and supported bowlers equally. However, in the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League, teams are scoring runs for fun. We can also attribute this frenzy to the shortened boundary across the nation.

The fans have also asked the bowlers to unite and abandon the league as the scoreboards and pitches are not doing justice to their efforts. In the last nine innings, the 200-run plus totals have been breached seven times. On two occasions, the second batting team has chased 200+ targets, with both games having a close finish. Fans believe this is not healthy for the future of the game.

The fans aren't pleased with the kind of pitches being laid out for the ongoing season. A lot of them vented out their frustration on Twitter. Here's a look at some of the reactions:
