England and Wales Cricket Board

In a recent piece of news, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has offered the Indian cricket board to host a Test series between India and Pakistan. Notably, the arch-rivals haven’t faced each other in any bilateral test series for the last one and a half decades. The last time, India and Pakistan played a Test series was 15 years back in the year 2007 on Indian soil.

Although, just a few hours after ECB’s offer to the Indian cricket board, Iceland cricket couldn’t keep calm and came up with a witty and humorous response on the social media platform, Twitter. They went on to take a dig at ECB by mentioning in the tweet that they can provide better facilities which will include 24-hour daylight and sniper security for the much-anticipated bilateral Test series.

Here's what Iceland Cricket tweeted for ECB

“We hear @ECB_cricket have offered to host a Test series between India and Pakistan. We officially announce to @ICC that we are also offering to do the same & can provide near 24-hour daylight in June and July, as well as better Tweets covering the matches. Sniper security too” reads the tweet posted at the official Twitter handle of Iceland Cricket.

Later on, Iceland cricket came up with another amazing tweet in which they posted a picture of the Volcanic Ashes trophy that would be there to honor the victorious team in the Test series between India and Pakistan.

“This is the Volcanic Ashes trophy for when Pakistan plays India in a 3 Test series here. It's currently given to the winners of our indoor club tournament, but we can create a new mickey mouse event & trophy for them. Filled with ash from our eruptions & set in a basaltic base,” Iceland Cricket added in the second tweet.

Although, after the tweets from Iceland cricket, a cricket fan came up with a suggestion to decide a winner in case the Test series ends in a draw. He went on to attach a video of the year 2020.

“We are not one to suggest new rules, but the approach in this video is certainly one we could adopt if the 3 Test series between Pakistan and India were drawn. Someone needs to take home that inaugural Volcanic Ashes trophy,” responded the Iceland cricket to a fan’s tweet.
