This unfortunate mishap has also gone heart-wrenching to the entire cricket fraternity of Pakistan. From current skipper Babar Azam to the former legendary pacer Shoaib Akhtar, everyone came ahead and strongly condemn the attack on the 1992 World Cup-winner skipper of Pakistan.

Here’s how Pakistan’s cricketing circle reacted to the attack on Imran Khan:

A video is going viral like wildfire on social media just after the renowned Pakistan journalist Ihtisham ul Haq posted it on his official Twitter handle. In the video, the people are visibly rushing the former World Champion skipper for medical assistance immediately after he sustained a shot of bullet. Notably, Pakistan as a nation is enduring a lot of internal political turbulence for the last couple of months since PML-N leader Shehbaz Sharif took over the Prime Ministerial position after Imran stepped down due to the no-confidence motion in the parliament.

Here's the video:

In a disturbing line of events for every Pakistani, the veteran defense journalist Arshad Sharif was shot dead in the city of Nairobi in Kenya. The 50-year-old Sharif quit ARY NEWS just a few months back after a long association for eight years.

Subsequently, the former Pakistan prime-minister Imran Khan termed it as a ‘target killing’ with the alleged involvement of the Shebhaz Sharif-led government.

Speaking of the journalist Arshad Sharif, he was quite a bit vocal against the toppling of the Imran-led government with the alleged involvement of American powers and their connections with the current-ruling Party PML-N.

Furthermore, the incident with Imran happened just on the day when Pakistan registered their second win in the 20-20 World Cup against South Africa and kept their hopes alive for the semi-finals.

Talking about cricket, Pakistan outplayed the South Africans on the same day of this disastrous incident with their former skipper. The men in green won the match by 33 runs. Vice-captain Shadab Khan won the 'player of the match award for his brilliant knock against South Africa.
