Furthermore, talking about the dramatic encounter between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, opening batter Najmul Hasan Shanto played a brilliant knock of 71 runs off 55 balls for Bangladesh to help them reach a total of 150 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Other than Najmul, middle-order, and skipper Shakib also played the knocks of 29 and 23 runs respectively.

While chasing the target, the senior batter went on to score a brilliant knock of 64 runs for Zimbabwe. Eventually, the match came at the moment when Zimbabweans needed 5 runs off the last ball. Bangladesh wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan happened to do a mistake by collecting the ball before it crossed the wickets to stump out Blessing Muzarabani on the last ball. So, the no-ball declared by the TV umpire made both teams come again to the field for the last ball.

Eventually, Mosaddek Hossain managed to hold his nerves and delivered a dot ball to Muzarabani to cross the line for his team and also to keep Pakistan’s hopes alive
