The mini-auction for the next edition of the Indian T20 League is all set to start almost within an hour. The 10 franchises will go through a bidding war in during the min-auction for the upcoming auction for the next edition of the Indian T20 League. Notably, the Indian cricket Board announced a list of 405 players including 273 Indian players alongside 132 overseas individuals who will go under the hammer.

Meanwhile, the Indian cricket Board has also announced that tie-breaker has once again introduced the tie-breaker rule for the smooth conduction of the auction. This rule will open a door for the silent written bid to decide the winner of that particular bid.

This rule will be in effect during a situation when two or more than that number of franchises will stick at the same amount for a player but don’t have enough funds to go ahead. Subsequently, the player will be announced as sold by the auctioneer on a bid that ends in a tie.

In the same sequence of developments regarding the tie-breaker rule, the Indian cricket Board has also informed the teams about the proper functionary of this rule including the other necessary information.

“The Tiebreak Bid will indicate the amount, payable in one installment that the franchisee is prepared to pay to the Indian cricket Board. The amount of the Tiebreak Bid is separate from and in addition to the amount of the Last Bid. The Tiebreak Bid is the separate amount, which the Franchisee is prepared to pay to the Indian cricket Board and is not deducted from the relevant Franchisee’s Salary Cap. There is no limit on the amount of the Tiebreak Bid,” reads the information given by the Indian Cricket Board to the participating franchises of the tournament.
