Rishabh Pant

He has recently touched down in Guwahati with the Indian team for the second T20I of the three-match series against South Africa. Although, his gesture towards the fans didn’t go down well with the Twitter trolls. They took no time in taking to Twitter for taking a dig at Pant instead of praising his humble gesture for his fans.

Here’s how trolls went after Rishabh Pant:

The 24-year-old is currently enduring a lean patch with the bat in the shortest format of the game. He is spending a lot of time in the nets before the matches and after the matches as well. His desperation to perform can be seen in his instinct he is one who pads up before everyone and takes off his pads after everyone gets done.

Although, he couldn’t deliver up to the expectations of late. The management decided to keep him away from playing XI in the first two matches of the three-match T20I series against Australia. And in the last two matches against Australia and South Africa respectively, he couldn’t get a chance to bat first.

It can be said on the grounds of his outings in the Asia Cup 2022, that Pant couldn’t take an advantage of the chances given to him. Except for a dead rubber against Afghanistan, he failed to deliver any remarkable performance in the continental tournament.

Pant has still a chance to get his rhythm back ahead of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 in the last two matches of the three-match T20I series against South Africa.

It is also interesting to see if the skipper Rohit Sharma and management give him chance in playing XI for the second T20I against the Proteas. Both teams will play this match in Guwahati on the 2nd of October.
