Manchester Originals and Northern Superchargers locked horns with each other in the third match of the hundred men’s competition. Both teams played this match at Manchester’s Old Trafford. Superchargers’ skipper Faf du Plessis won the toss and invited Manchester to bat first.

Batting first, Manchester scored a decent score of 161 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 100 balls. Later on, the visitors' superchargers went on to chase the target of 162  runs only 94 balls with six balls to spare, and won the match by six wickets.

The fans have also appreciated the Superchargers for their victory in the third match of the tournament. They took to Twitter for praising the performance of Faf du Plessis & co.

Jos Buttler and Phil Salt started the innings for Manchester. They got the first blow very early only on the score of 16 runs. Skipper Buttler played a brilliant knock of 59 runs off just 41 balls with six boundaries and a six. Later on, the number three batter Wayne Madsen scored 43 runs off just 26 balls with three boundaries and a six.

Whereas the senior Caribbean all-rounder Andre Russell played a short cameo of 29 off 20 balls with three massive sixes. With all these innings, Manchester scored 161 runs for the loss of four wickets.

Chasing the target, Superchargers reached the target only in 94 balls with the batting heroics of opening batter Adam Lyth. The 34-year-old played a brilliant knock of 51 runs off just 30 balls with six boundaries and a six to his name. Later on, Harry Brook also scored vital 33 runs off just 19 balls with two sixes.

Andre Russell, Matt Parkinson, Fred Klassen, and Ashton turner scalped one wicket each. But they couldn’t bowl enough well to restrict the visitors before the target and finally, Du Plessis’ men won the match by six wickets.
