Glenn Maxwell was trending for the past few days. The Australian all-rounder recently got married to his long-time girlfriend Vini Raman. It is to be noted that she is of Indian descent. They got married on March 18.

This news instantly became viral, and several people took to social media to congratulate the couple for their next innings. From the fans to Maxwell's teams, all wished the couple for tying the knot. In the meanwhile, the batting all-rounder will next be seen during the fifteenth edition of the Indian T20 league.

In fact, Maxwell made himself unavailable for Australia's all-format tour to Pakistan due to his wedding. His teammates are currently playing a Test series in the Asian nation, and will also be playing a limited-overs series after the completion of the red-ball series. As far as Maxwell's wedding is considered, it saw him not knowing a tradition, and taking a bold step.

One of the traditions in an Indian wedding includes "hiding the groom's shoes". According to a viral meme, Maxwell didn't know about the same and thus, lodged an FIR. This was reported on an Australian website as well.

As a result, it instantly became viral. Several fans shared this news on social media. Nevertheless, Maxwell will be missing the initial few games of the 2022 edition of the toughest 20 due to his wedding. He will be representing Bangalore, for whom he had a spectacular season during the 2021 edition.

He scored 513 runs in 14 innings at an average of 42.75. It will be exciting to see if the 33-year-old can have a good season this time around as well. The Faf du Plessis-led side will highly depend on him to finish games. Until he comes, Bangalore will have to play another capable overseas player in his place.
