The Indian Cricket Board in a shocking move sacked the entire selection panel led by Chetan Sharma on 18th November 2022. The move came after India’s humiliating 10-wicket loss against England in the semi-final of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. In a press release, Indian Cricket Board secretary, Jay Shah, invited applications for five positions by November 28 urging former Indian cricketers to apply for the positions.
