Subsequently, the new chairholders of the board appointed the former skipper and explosive all-rounder Shahid Afridi as the interim chief selector of the national men’s team of Pakistan. Shahid came into this position because the Board happened to sack the Mohammad Wasim-led selection panel in the aftermath of the embarrassing defeat against England in the recently concluded Test series by a massive margin of 0-3.

Although Afridi’s appointment as the interim chief selector has drawn various kinds of reactions from his former teammates, experts and fans as well. Meanwhile, former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria has taken a brutal dig at the former all-rounder.

Kaneria went on to share a picture of Afridi when he was caught on camera biting the ball with his teeth. The veteran of 263 wickets trolled Afridi with a caption ‘Chief Selector’ followed by a couple of laughing emojis in a series.

Here’s what Danish Kaneria tweeted for Shahid Afridi:

Notably, Pakistan is all set to play against New Zealand in a two-match Test series against New Zealand. The National Stadium in Karachi will host this two-match Test series against New Zealand starting tomorrow the 26th of December.

Although the Pakistani team is already out of contention for the final of the World Test Championship 2023. They had gone through a very horrific run in the red-ball cricket and that too in the home conditions. Babar Azam’s men have lost four matches and played two draws out of the six matches they played so far in the ongoing calendar year of 2022.
