The inaugural Women's T20 League will kick off with a game between Gujarat and Mumbai. This league is the women's version of the already established brand, the Indian T20 League. The Men's version of the league has already seen 15 seasons and the next season will follow after the Women's league. Meanwhile, in the tournament, five teams such as Gujarat, Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, and UP will participate.

After the inaugural player auction of the league, a lot of quality players have been signed by the teams. They have done extremely at the highest level of the game. 1. Jemimah Rodrigues

India's number three batter played a match-winning inning against Pakistan during the Women's 20-20 World Cup 2023. Apart from this, she was one of the leading run-getters in the tournament.

Not to forget, Rodrigues almost took the game away from the eventual winners, Australia. She will play for Delhi and the fans would be looking forward to watching her play the same way.

2. Ashleigh Gardner

The finisher of the Australian side will play for Gujarat in the tournament. Her prowess is to hit boundaries in the end overs. Not to forget, her innings helped the team in the semis against India.

The fans will be looking forward to watching her bat the same way on Indian pitches. Talking about her numbers, the right-hander has played 73 games and has a strike rate of 132.43 which is quite good.

3. Harmanpreet Kaur

India's white-ball skipper will play for Mumbai. Fans might remember her century against Australia in the semis of the 2017 ODI World Cup. Also, not to forget, her innings against Australia in the CWG 2022 final and the 20-20 World Cup 2023 semis.

Talking about her numbers, she has played 151 games and has 3058 runs to her name. The right-hander is the only Indian to score a T20I hundred and might lead the Mumbai side for the season.

4. Smriti Mandhana

The India opening batter will play for Bangalore and was crowned as the captain of the side. Her men counterparts, Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis announced the development. Meanwhile, the skipper of the Red Army would be looking to do well.

She has played 116 games in the shortest format and has 2802 runs to her name. The left-hander also played for the Southern Brave in The Hundred competition.

5. Alyssa Healy

Australia's opening batter will play for the UP side. She is known to provide explosive starts in white-ball cricket. After playing 141 games, she has 2489 runs to her name and has a strike rate of 126.92, and has a hundred in the format too.
