India wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant comes from a humble background. During his childhood days, he used to sleep in Gurudwaras. He switched places from Roorkie to Delhi to Rajasthan and came back to Delhi during his teenage days. Not many people know this but he was thrown out of an academy once. These are the reasons he might understand a person's struggles.

A fan on Twitter has uploaded a selfie with the wicketkeeper batter. In the image, the Delhi player was seen with three other people including the Twitter user. The user revealed in the caption how the former India U19 player asked him to wait and went to a homeless man and asked him for food.

'Just wanted to highlight the warm gesture by @RishabhPant17. When we asked him for a picture he told us that he'll be back in a moment. Then he went towards a homeless man sitting under the bridge and gave him food and also asked him if he wanted anything else! What a man!,' the user wrote.

However, it is unclear which one of the three men in the photo was homeless and which was one was the lucky fan with whom the Haridwar-born player took a selfie with. On the other hand, it is a great gesture from a man who has seen tough days during his days as a young cricketer. Compared to his old days, the left-hander has seen a lot of success in his career so far.

Currently, he is the preferred choice for India as the wicketkeeper batter across formats. Readers might suggest that his recent form in T20Is might become a problem but nothing is certain in the game. Also, not to forget that he has got the backing from head coach Rahul Dravid. It will be interesting to see how he goes about his business in the T20I series against England. Before this, he will play the fifth Test starting on July 1.
