The UAE, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Australia T20 Leagues are set to clash which has created a whole set of new problems for the boards. The Australia and Bangladesh T20 Leagues are played in December - January period every year. Now, Cricket South Africa (CSA) and Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) are also looking to launch their respective league in January next year.

The problem with this idea is that both tournaments clash with the Big Bash League (BBL in Australia) and Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Recently, Cricket Australia (CA) denied the No-Objection certificate to Chris Lynn to participate in the middle-eastern league. CA wants him to participate in the BBL later this year.

Meanwhile, Mubashshir Usmani, the general secretary of the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB), has said that the January window fits their purpose, and the board is working to minimize the clashes.

"While this window suits our purpose, we are closely working with different boards toward minimizing date clashes," Mubashshir Usmani, General Secretary of the Emirates Cricket Board said.

We are in touch with relevant cricket boards: Mubashshir Usmani

Usmani added that the ECB is working with CA and other relevant cricket boards and wants to see more and more overseas players in the league. He revealed that they are working alongside the players, their agents, and the boards to seek the necessary approvals for the players' participation.

"We are working with Cricket Australia, in fact, we are in touch with all the relevant cricket boards, to minimize any major clashes," Usmani said. "We do want Australian as well as any other available players to be involved with the league."

"Our team has been working alongside players, players' agents and various boards to seek and secure the necessary approvals for those identified to participate in the league's inaugural edition," he said.

Talking about the UAE League, a total of nine foreigners and two local players will feature in the playing XI for the teams. It will be interesting to see how things pan out in the future.
