Dates for the Abu Dhabi T10 2022 tournament announced!

The 2022 edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League is slated to be played from 23^rd November 2022 to 4^th December 2022 at Zayed Cricket Stadium. Notably, the 2022 edition of the tournament will be the fourth one since the tournament moved to Abu Dhabi.

The League has seen a rise in the economic impact value. The value increased to $621.2 million in the year 2021. Besides, the league reached 342 million television and over-the-top (OTT) digital viewers. It all contributed to the increased Abu Dhabi T20’s sponsorship value by 81 percent to $279.3 million.

Add to that, the league received 1.4 billion impressions across social media and more than 115 million video views for the Abu Dhabi T10’s digital content.

“Through our partnership with the Abu Dhabi T10, we have further positioned Abu Dhabi as a major sporting global hub and consistently demonstrated the city’s ability to both build, and host, one of cricket’s most entertaining competitions,” said HE Aref Al Awani, General Secretary, Abu Dhabi Sports Council. “This is evidence of the success of a significant strategic objective of the Abu Dhabi government; to create and deliver sporting events that contribute to enhancing the emirate’s leadership in global sports.”

The sixth season will have 6 teams take on each other. Deccan Gladiators are defending champions, having won last year’s title after beating Delhi Bulls by 56 runs in the final. The format of the league for this edition will be the same as last year. All the teams will play 10 matches in the league stage before the top four sides advance to the knockouts.
