Team India are currently busy playing the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy at home against Australia. Rohit Sharma has been a great captain in the first two matches as the Men in Blue managed two comfortable victories. However, Harbhajan Singh made some headlines during the series so far by making some comments on playing XI and the pitch conditions.

Now, a known Indian journalist shared a poll where he asked: “Choose 1 as captain, all formats Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma? #ViratKohli #RohitSharma”. In reply to that, the former team India spinner wrote: “Dhoni”. Fans were shocked to see him taking the name of the former team India skipper.

Harbhajan Singh has played under several captains for team India 

MS Dhoni was one of the most successful captains in the history of Indian Cricket. Under his captaincy, the Men in Blue have won the 20-20 World Cup in 2007 and 50-over World Cup in 2011. He even lead India to the Champions Trophy title in 2013 in England. Apart from the white-ball formats, they also became the number one side in the longest format of the game during Dhoni’s tenure as the skipper. However, there were rumours that both Dhoni and Harbhajan Singh did not have a good relationship between them. But, Harbhajan played for him in the Chennai franchise of the Indian T20 League.

However, the spinner earlier claimed in several interviews that Sourav Ganguly was the best captain for him under whom he played a lot of cricket in the international arena. So, fans were shocked to see him taking the name of MS Dhoni instead of Sourav Ganguly. while speaking on Sportskeeda IN 2022, Harbhajan said: “Had Ganguly not backed me, he wouldn't have won that series (2001 vs Australia) and would have been sacked from captaincy. He came like God for me and held my hand and I went on with my job. It helped both my career and his as a captain as he got the extension. He did help me in giving a chance, but then it's up to the player to make it count."
