Life seems very unpredictable in most instances and so does the game of cricket. The same day in the game may turn out to be historic for a team whereas, on the other hand, it comes as a nightmare for the other team. Someone’s victory looks an upset for the other one.

In the same line of events, a similar happened during the 24th match between the minnows like Zimbabwe and the 20-20 World Cup 2009 champions, Pakistan. Craig Ervine’s men happened to stun the entire cricketing fraternity with a ‘win for ages’ against the men in green by a margin of only one run.

Following this unexpected defeat, Babar’s men ended up being on the receiving end of hard criticism from the former Pakistani players and experts for poor display of batting during the run chase of a below-par target of 131 runs in 20 overs.

Although it’s a fact that whenever the criticism comes, it’s obviously on the failure entire team as a unit. But one must feel for the individuals who put their all hearts into the efforts to get their team across the finishing line. A similar case was with senior Pakistan batter Shan Masood and vice-captain Shadab Khan who stitched a steady partnership of fighting-partnership of 52 runs for the fourth wicket.
