Things are not going Rajasthan Royals' (RR) way at the moment. With four wins in 11 games, their chances of qualifying for the next round are getting grim with every passing game. Barring a close win over Punjab Kings in their UAE leg opener, Rajasthan Royals have struggled for momentum. Evin Lewis and Sanju Samson have tried to uplift the team with few good innings but others have been a big letdown.

Same has been the case with their bowling which is not looking threatening at all. The biggest disappointment though will be their million-dollar man Chris Morris. Morris delivered some fine performances in the India leg but it yet to take a wicket in UAE.

Rajasthan Royals director Kumar Sangakkara is expectedly not happy with the performances of Morris. The former Sri Lanka skipper said he expects a bit more contribution from their ace pacer.

“Chris Morris did brilliantly for us in the first half, and he has not done the job as we would have liked him to in the second half. He knows that and we know that. 50 runs from four overs, his last over were the last throw of the dice to try and get a wicket. We were well out of the game at that point.

”He has done well for us in certain parts, and whoever we think of playing next will be the best person to come into the side to play against the opposition,” said Sangakkara during a virtual post-match press conference.

Rajasthan Royals got off to a blazing start to their game against RCB with Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal adding 77 in 8 overs. However, the Royals lost the plot and could only manage 149, which RCB wiped out with seven wickets to spare. The Royals need to win all their remaining games to stay alive in the tournament.
