The Indian Cricket Board has come under the ire of Virat Kohli fans as he missed out on the first ODI against England. According to skipper Rohit Sharma and the board, Kohli was suffering from a groin injury, which is why he was rested. However, the fans aren't buying the statements. After all, the former India skipper is one of the fittest cricketers in the world.

Also, he was seen on the streets of London ahead of the game by some fans. These are the reasons they don't believe that the 2011 World Cup winner was injured. Meanwhile, whether he was rested or dropped is a mystery, but the fans are not letting this go. They have once again targeted the board and its president, Sourav Ganguly. The group of fans feels that Virat was dropped and was termed as 'injured'.

The right-hander has been through a really bad patch with the bat in the last few months. During the Indian T20 League 2022, he could only muster 341 runs in 16 games. This includes two fifties against the eventual winners, Gujarat. The Delhi player was rested for South Africa and Ireland series to keep him fresh for the ongoing series against England. However, after scoring a brilliant half-century against Leicestershire, he hasn't been able to carry his form.

In the fifth Test and the three T20Is, the 2013 Champions Trophy winner has managed scores of 11, 20, 1, and 11. His place in the team has been under scrutiny according to some former India cricketers. Meanwhile, the team didn't feel his absence as they went on to win the game by 10 wickets. Bowling first, the Men In Blue bowled out the Three Lions for 110. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami took six and three wickets respectively.
