Pakistan locked horns in the third match of their campaign in the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022. Dutch skipper Scott Edwards won the toss and decided to bat first at the Perth Stadium in Perth. Batting first, the Netherlands batting collapsed against the premier pace attack of Pakistan and the brilliance of Pakistan vice-captain and all-rounder Shadab Khan. Eventually, the Netherlands got bundled up only on the score of 91 runs.

While chasing the target, Pakistan lost four wickets however, they crossed the finishing line in 13.5 overs to register their first win in the tournament. Although Pakistan fans heaved a sigh of relief, but they were also not happy with the intent of Babar & co. showed during the run-chase.

They took to Twitter for expressing their reactions to Pakistan’s first win in the super-12 stage following two consecutive defeats against India and Zimbabwe respectively.

Speaking of the match, the southpaw Colin Ackermann was the only highest-run scorer with an individual knock of 27 runs off 27 balls with two boundaries. Other than him, skipper Edwards was only the second batter to cross the double-digit for the Netherlands.

Shadab Khan scalped three wickets by conceding just 22 runs in his quota of four overs. Other than Shadab, Shaheen, Naseem, and Haris Rauf also scalped one wicket each. Young lad Mohammad Wasim ended up claiming 2 wickets by conceding 15 runs in three overs.

While chasing the target, the men in green crossed the line in 13.4 overs on the back of Mohammad Rizwan’s brilliant steady knock of 49 runs with five boundaries. Eventually, Pakistan won the match by six wickets. Now, Pakistan will be in action in its next match against South Africa.
