Bangalore franchise made headlines after the auction of the Women’s T20 League. They managed to get big-name players like Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, Renuka Singh, Heather  Knight, Ellyse Perry, and others. Even, the franchise named Mandhana the skipper for the inaugural season.

But, after the completion of 11 matches in the tournament so far, Bangalore have failed to win a single match. They have lost all five matches so far and did not look like a team at all under Mandhana’s captaincy. On 13 March, they took on Delhi in the DY Patil Stadium. Fans were hoping that they could break their streak of losing in the clash.

All upcoming matches for the Bangalore franchise are knockouts in the ongoing tournament  

But, they failed again as Delhi defeated Bangalore by six wickets with two balls remaining. It was their fifth consecutive loss and now, they are in a complicated position to get a place in the playoffs for the opening season of the tournament. As things stand, Bangalore can still qualify for the WTL eliminator if they win all the remaining 3 games. Along with that, Mumbai and Delhi franchises need to win their matches against Gujarat and UP respectively. Even, the Gujarat franchise need to defeat UP also. Seeing that complicated equation for the Bangalore women, fans went crazy and they trolled the franchise on social media platforms.

They also drew similarities with the performance of the Bangalore men’s team’s performance throughout all these years in the Indian T20 League. They have also failed to win the tournament so far despite having world-class players like Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, and AB de Villiers over all these years. Every year, a situation comes where fans need to manage a complicated calculation to determine the chances of the team getting qualified for the next stage of the tournament. However, fans have shared some funny tweets while comparing those teams on social media.
