'Bring back Sanju Samson' - Fans mercilessly bash Rishabh Pant following his poor outing in warm-up match

Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant is once again in the headlines of social media for his poor form in the shortest format of the game. Notably, Pant is included in the squad of the Indian team for the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Although, some cricket experts and fans were not happy with this decision as the selectors ignored the in-form wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson.

This performance from Rishabh Pant didn’t go down well with the Indian cricket fans and they took no time and went to Twitter for backing Sanju Samson to bring back in the Indian team. Fans also criticized the 24-year-old for his continuous string of poor form.

Rishabh Pant made 9 runs in 17 balls in a T20 game and he is called Power Hitter and Intent Merchant but when Sanju Samson made 86 runs in 63 balls in a ODI game he is called as Statpadder.

Talking Sanju Samson, then he is currently in action during the ongoing three-match ODI series against South Africa. Samson stunned and impressed everyone with his amazing knock of 86 runs in the first match for India against the visitors. Although, his brilliant knock went in vain as India fell nine runs short of the target and lost the series opener.

Earlier, fans were also outrageous when selectors picked the Indian squad for the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup. They lashed out at the Indian management for ignoring Samson in the World Cup squad.

Rishabh Pant also failed to deliver up to the expectations in the Asia Cup 2022 in the crucial matches of the competition. The Indian team got eliminated from the tournament after losing two consecutive matches in the super-4 round against the arch-rivals Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

There were a lot of questions when it was about picking the 15-member squad for the World Cup. The primary among these questions was that if Sanju Samson would be rewarded a spot in the squad of this marquee tournament.

But, the management went on to overlook him and pick senior wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik but more than that, out-of-form Rishabh Pant’s selection was something that really didn’t go easy to swallow for the Indian cricket fans.
