Team India will be in action on 9 March 2023 as they will take on Australia in Ahmedabad for the fourth Test for the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. A huge test awaits them after suffering a nine-wicket loss in Indore. However, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will watch that match with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese from the stadium. It will be Albanese’s first India tour if he comes after he became the Prime Minister in May 2022.

Recently, Albanese mentioned his visit to India in a tweet after meeting Mr. Jaishankar. He wrote: “It was wonderful to meet with @DrSJaishankar his morning ahead of my trip to India next month. We discussed our strategic partnership, economic opportunities, and the people-to-people ties that enrich our nations.”  Now, reports have come out that Narendra Modi will also sin the coin at the toss in Ahmedabad.

“I think when you are playing on these kinds of pitches you have to slightly stay ahead of the bowler as well.” - Rohit Sharma

In the pre-match press conference, Rohit Sharma said: “You just got to go and score runs, find ways to score runs. And that is the talk within the group. Conditions are there for us to play and you’ve got to find a way to score runs whatever the pitches you play on. That is the talk. We’re just trying to figure out more and more methods of coming out on top when the pitches are challenging. So yeah, every individual is different and they’ll find their own methods of scoring runs.”

Regarding the way of batting in this series, Rohit Sharma said: “I think when you are playing on these kinds of pitches you have to slightly stay ahead of the bowler as well. Before he does anything, you are ready with what you want to do. It should be that kind of mindset. I’m just talking about me, not talking about anyone else. It’s how I approach (batting).” So, all eyes will be on Rohit Sharma and his men as the Aussies bowlers will be ready to pounce on them in Ahmedabad.
