Sydney Thunder will be up against Perth Scorchers in the ongoing 11th edition of the Big Bash League (BBL). Thunder are placed third on the points table, winning two and losing three. Meanwhile, Scorchers are placed first and are the only unbeaten team in the competition. Thunder are coming off a 30-run loss against the Sixers. The Chris Green-led side failed to have big partnerships in the run chase. Jason Sangha top-scored with 46 while the rest of the batters got starts but didn’t capitalize on it. Thunder’s problem this season has been they are not able to post scores over 170 on a consistent basis. Alex Hales has not provided good starts upfront. Sam Billings and Alex Ross have not been consistent.
Thunder would be hoping to tighten the batting and hope to put in better performance with the bat in hand in the coming games. Meanwhile, the Scorchers have exuded class and confidence in all their six games. They have hardly broken a sweat and are looking good in the batting and bowling departments of the game.
