On 20 May 2023, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will lock horns with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the ongoing IPL at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Currently, LSG are in the third spot with 15 points in 13 games. While KKR are in the seventh spot with 12 points in 13 games. So, this match will be crucial for both these teams to keep them alive in the race for the playoffs.

But, ahead of this clash, LSG have now posted a video on Twitter where it has been found that it is raining heavily in Kolkata. Reports have also come out that both teams had to cancel their practice sessions. LSG shared the video with a caption: “Ki hocche, Kolkata? (what is happening, Kolkata?).”

Seeing that video, LSG fans shared their concern as if the match gets abandoned due to rain, then their chances to get into the playoffs can become very critical. A win in this clash will take them to 17 points and will confirm their place in the top four. But, if the match gets cancelled, then one point will be awarded to both teams. Thus, KKR will finish with 13 points while LSG will finish with 16 points. Then, net run rate will come into play as other teams like Mumbai Indians (MI), and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) can also reach 16 points with a win in their respective clashes. 

On the other hand, CSK also have 15 points with one more match to go against Delhi Capitals (DC). So, they can also reach 17 points with a win. So, fans will really hope for a match between LSG and KKR at Eden Gardens. Meanwhile, KKR have never defeated LSG in IPL so far. However, LSG already have played a rain-interrupted match against CSK in Lucknow. Due to rain, that match got called off and both teams got awarded one point each.
