Babar Azam will be on everyone's list and it is no surprise given the batter's terrific form of late. He has been the best batter for Pakistan of late and currently sits at number one in the ODI and T20I rankings.

The Pakistani skipper might as well end up as the leading run-scorer for Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022. And needless to say, he might also end up as the leading run scorer in the tournament, outclassing batters from other nations. He has just one less than a fifty score in the last ten ODI innings. Though the Asia Cup 2022 will be held in a T20I format, he can emulate the same here too.

2) Rohit Sharma:

The Indian skipper might end up as the top-scorer of the tournament as well. Rohit Sharma has been fantastic for India recently and has been aggressive too.

He has four International hundreds in the T20I format and might make a few more in the Asia Cup 2022. The Mumbai batter did well in the T20I series against West Indies and would look to carry forward the same form to the tournament in the UAE as well.

3) Pathum Nissanka:

Pathum Nissanka is the man for Sri Lanka in the upcoming Asia Cup. He will be the key factor in the batting department for Sri Lanka and would look to do well for his nation. The batter averages around twenty-eight in the T20Is and has amassed 628 runs with five fifties. The Galle-born can dominate the arena and might end up as the top scorer of the tournament.

4) KL Rahul:

KL Rahul failed to deliver in all three ODIs against Zimbabwe. But that doesn't rule out the fact that the batter can produce a stellar show in the tournament. He will be Rohit Sharma's deputy in the Asia Cup 2022 for Team India.

The Karnataka batter can be a real star for India in the middle order or at the top of the order. The 30-year-old averages 40.69 in T20I format with two centuries to his name. His records speak for himself and might end up as the top scorer of the tournament.

5) Rahmanullah Gurbaz:

Rahmanullah Gurbaz, the latest sensation from Afghanistan, might surprise everyone by ending up as the leading run-scorer in the tournament. He is the first-ever player to score a century on debut for Afghanistan. The opener has all the abilities to end up as the leading run-scorer of the tournament. He averages 25.81 in the T20I format with three fifties to his name.
