Abu Dhabi T10 League 2022, Day 7 Roundup: Iftikhar Ahmed's stunning innings lights up Abu Dhabi and gives Bangla Tigers a win

There were three matches at the Abu Dhabi T10 League which took place which were all superb encounters that entertained the crowd.

Day 7 of the T10 League saw three matches being played at Sheik Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The T10 League has been going on thick and fast and the matches have been high-octane and edge-of-seat encounters. The first match saw Team Abu Dhabi take on the Morrisville Samp Army. The second match featured the Deccan Gladiators and Chennai Braves. The third encounter had the Bangla Tigers and Delhi Bulls.

Here is a round-up of the three matches that happened yesterday-

Match 17 - Team Abu Dhabi vs Morrisville Samp Army

Team Abu Dhabi won the toss and opted to bat. They scored 100-3 in 10 overs. They were helped by Chris Lynn and James Vince who scored 35 off 23 balls with one four and two sixes and 44 off 25 balls with five fours and two sixes. In the end, Fabian Allen provided a good finish for them to end on a good note.

In reply, the Morrisville Samp Army could not get going as Team Abu Dhabi picked up wickets at regular intervals. Peter Hatzgolou picked up 3-6 in his two overs. Andrew Tye picked up 3-17 in his 2 overs. Allen also picked up 2-24 with the ball. The Morrisville Samp Army could only score 82-9 in 10 overs and Abu Dhabi won by 18 runs.

Match 18 - Deccan Gladiators vs Chennai Braves

The next match took place between Deccan Gladiators and Chennai Braves where the Braves won the toss and chose to bowl. Deccan Gladiators smashed 108-3 in their 20 overs. Jason Roy and Kohler Cadmore scored 57 off 33 balls with nine fours and 40 off 19 balls with four fours and three sixes respectively. Sikandar Raza picked two scalps for the Braves.

In reply, the Braves chased the target down in just 9.3 overs. Daniel Lawrence scored a quick-fire 40 off 18 with four fours and two sixes. Carlos Braithwaite smashed a quickfire 27 off 7 balls with four sixes. This was a dominating win by the Braves.

Match 19 - Bangla Tigers vs Delhi Bulls

The Bangla Tigers made 133-2 in 10 overs. The chief contributors were Joe Clarke who scored 25 off 10 balls with five fours. Iftikhar Ahmed smashed a superb 83 off 30 balls with five fours and eight sixes. This amounted to a huge total on the board.

In reply, The Delhi Bulls came near but were yet so far. They scored 121-3 as they went on to lose by 12 runs. After the early departure of Tom Banton and Rilee Rossouw. Jordan Cox and Tim David entertained the crowd with some big hitting as David scored 50 off 20 balls with one four and six sixes. Cox made a short and sharp 34 off 21 balls with two fours and two sixes but it was not enough.
