The second and last of the two-match Test series between Bangladesh and India finished with a very thrilling and exciting end. The third day of the match came up with a lot of interesting turnarounds in the Mirpur Test. The hosts’ second innings was bundled up on the score of 231 runs and they managed to post a target of 145 runs for team India to win the match.

While chasing the target, the Indian team ended up falling into a struggling situation after losing four wickets only on the score of 45 runs at the time of stumps on day 3 of the Mirpur Test.

Bangladesh also bowled brilliantly on the fourth day of the match and scalped seven wickets of the Indian team before they could near the win. But it was the veteran Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin who stayed and fought there for his team alongside the star batter Shreyas Iyer.

The fans were overwhelmed by this win of the Indian team in the second Test and series as well. They took to Twitter to lavish the praises on the visitors for a brilliant fightback in the last fixture of the red-ball series against Bangladesh.

Ravichandran Ashwin scored an unbeaten knock of 42 runs that played a very crucial role in India’s thrilling Mirpur Test against Shakib’s men. Ashwin came into the middle when India lost a big wicket to Rishabh Pant only a total score of 74 runs.

Shreyas Iyer sojourned there in the middle with Ashwin to rescue team India from a miserable condition to win the Test match to win the series.

After winning the series against Bangladesh with a clean sweep margin, India has now reached the second spot in the points table of the World Test Championship 2023. Now, they will have to in three out of four Tests during the upcoming series against Australia in February next year.
