KL Rahul is one of the finest openers in India. The batter from Karnataka has proved his prowess already and a keen follower might know his worth. However, the batter tested positive for Covid-19 right before the Zimbabwe tour and things turned otherwise. Speaking of his stint in the Asia Cup 2022, KL Rahul failed to deliver for India in most of the innings.

The 30-year-old marched on to the three-match T20I series against Australia and looked unsettled in the first match. Despite getting a few shots under his belt, the Indian opener failed in all three matches and KL Rahul's failure in the third match earned a lot of criticism.
KL Rahul has been getting a lot of chances and letting the team down on most occasions. The Indian opener, who captained the Lucknow franchise in the Indian T20 League, amassed only 66 runs in the recently concluded series against the Baggy Greens.
KL Rahul’s poor form continues
Speaking of his strike rate, albeit it looks great at the moment, his inability to make an impact has haunted India at the highest level. If one could trace back history, the Indian team has always been highly dependent on the top three and fans have started trolling that India starts with 0-1 when playing with KL Rahul.
However, KL Rahul recently hit back at his critics and said that he has been working on upping the strike rate. During a presser, the batter said earlier that he wants to stay focussed on the game and help the team win.
“Look no one is perfect. No one in that dressing room is perfect. Everyone is working towards something. Everyone has a certain role to do. Obviously, the strike rates are taken on an overall base. You will never see when a batter played a certain strike rate. It is something that I am working at. The roles that I have been defined …… in the last 10 or 12 months I have been very clear on what everyone expects from the player, and everyone is working towards it,” KL Rahul had said earlier.
However, despite his assurance, the batter failed in the third T20I yet again and fans left no stone unturned to troll KL Rahul.
