'A solid win' - Fans appreciate the performance of India Capitals after a comfortable win against Gujarat Giants

Fans took to Twitter for praising the team effort of the India Capitals as they outplayed the Giants with a comfortable chase in 18.5 overs.

Gujarat Giants and India capitals locked horns in the seventh match of the Legends League Cricket 2022. Capitals’ skipper and former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir won the toss and decided to bowl first at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Batting first, Gujarat Giants posted a respectable total of 152 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

While chasing the target, India Capitals crossed the line in overs with a score of 153 runs for the loss of four wickets to win the match by six wickets. Fans also appreciated the performance of Gambhir & co. against the Giants.

Here’s how fans reacted to the win of the India Capitals in the seventh match of the LLC:

Talking a bit more about the match, then the opening pair of former Irish veteran Kevin O’Brien and former Sri Lankan great Tillakaratne Dilshan provided a good start of 47 runs for the first wicket in just 5.1 overs. Dilshan played an excellent knock of 75 runs off 59 balls with nine boundaries and a six to his name. Other than him, O’Brien and Graeme Swann also scored 23 and 26 runs respectively.

With the help of these knocks, Giants managed to post a total of 152 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Pravin Tambe and Ashley Nurse scalped two wickets each for capitals. Former Australian great Mitchell Johnson, Pawan Suyal, and Liam Plunkett also picked one wicket each for the Capitals.

While chasing the target, India's capitals got a good start from the openers Gautam Gambhir and Solomon Mire. Gambhir played a brilliant knock of 41 runs off just 23 balls with five boundaries and two sixes on his credit.

Other than Gambhir, former Zimbabwean veteran batter Hamilton Masakadza played a very crucial half-century knock of 50 runs off 34 balls with seven boundaries and a six. Eventually, the Capitals chased down the target of 153 runs in 18.5 overs for the loss of four wickets to win the match by six wickets.
