2021 20-20 World Cup winner Australian skipper Aaron Finch stayed there in international cricket for Australia for more than a decade. He made his first international appearance for the yellow outfits in the Adelaide T20I 12 years back in the year 2011.

The 36-year-old announced his retirement from the ODIs last year in 2022 and recently just a few days back, he also happened to bid adieu to all forms of international cricket, yesterday, on the 7th of February, 2023.

Joginder Sharma

Whenever you’ll look at the directory of Haryana Police, there would be a name Joginder Sharma; deputed to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police. The very name is also associated very closely and historically with the Indian cricket team’s historic 20-20 World Cup 2007 triumph 15 years back in South Africa.

Although Sharma could play only 4 ODIs and 4 T20Is for India, the 4 T20Is also include the remarkable 20-20 World Cup 2007 final between India and Pakistan. Apart from that the 39-year-old had a very celebrated First-Class career to his name having 297 wickets in 77 appearances. Finally, Haryana’s state pride announced his retirement from international cricket earlier in this month of February.

The Chennai batter Murali Vijay was one of the most prominent Test specialists who ever played for India. He featured in 105 innings of 61 matches in the longest format for India and accumulated 3982 runs with 12 centuries and 15 half-centuries. Apart from this, he also played 17 ODIs and 9 T20Is for India at the highest level of the game.

Other than his contributions on the cricketing field, he had been in the headlines not for the right reasons. It all happened when the rumors of his alleged affairs with teammate Dinesh Karthik’s wife. Coming back to cricket, he was active in the TNPL 2022 but later on, he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket earlier this month in February.

The New South Wales-born veteran Daniel Christian recently appeared for the Sydney Sixers in the challenger clash for Sydney Sixers against Brisbane Heat. He could score only 7 runs with the bat off 12 balls with only a boundary with his willow. Eventually, Christian ended up on the wrong side of the match as Sydney lost the match by four wickets.

Later on, the 39-year-old announced his retirement from all forms of the game in the aftermath of the Big Bash League 2023. Before hanging his boots in international cricket, the Aussie all-rounder had played 20 ODIs and 23 T20Is alongside 83 First-Class and 120 List-A appearances for Australia.

Hashim Amla was arguably an institution of amazing batting that remained active in Test cricket for 15 years out of his 19-year-long international cricketing career for South Africa. The Durban batting great ranks among the greatest batters ever played the game in the traditional format of the game. Amla batted in 215 innings of 124 Tests he played and aggregated 9282 runs with 28 centuries and 41 half-centuries to his name alongside 41 half-centuries.

Apart from this, the 39-year-old had also commendable numbers in ODI cricket as well. He scored 8113 runs in 178 innings of 181 ODI appearances with an average of 49.46 having 27 centuries and 39 half-centuries on his credit. After being part of County cricket in 2022, the current batting coach of MI Cape Town put in close to his international career last month in January 2023.

Dwaine Pretorius

The 33-year-old Randfontein all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius could feature only in 3 Tests and 27 ODIs for South Africa in international cricket. Pretorius made his first international appearance for South Africa seven years back in the year Benoni ODI against Ireland.

After not getting enough chances in the national side of South Africa, he announced his retirement but decided to stay active in the franchise T20 Leagues.
