Probably one of the biggest Indian players to ever grace the pitch, Sunil Gavaskar has had many records to his name. While playing without a helmet against a deadly West Indian bowling lineup remains his most well-known feat, the little master had other talents too.

One interesting feat that the legendary batter achieved in his career was acting in movies. He first made an appearance in the movie 'Savli Premachi' in 1980. He also played a role in the Bollywood movie 'Malaamaal'. The film featured Naseeruddin Shah. Besides, Gavaskar also sang a marathi song, "Ya Duniyemadhye Thambayaala Vel Konala."

After a match-fixing scandal ended his career, the cricketer tried his hand at acting. After appearing in the 2003 movie, Khel, the ex-cricketer soon realized that the job is not for him. The movie bombed at the box office and Jadeja turned to commentary and analysis next. Interestingly the cricketer also captained the Indian ODI side on multiple occasions in the 1990s.

Vinod Kambli

Touted as one of the best talents alongside Sachin Tendulkar, Kambli's career did not have the same bling as that of Tendulkar. After the end of his career, Kambli tried his hand at movies. In 2000 he acted in 'Aanarth' alongside Sunil Shetty. The movie, however, did not do well at the box office and that was the end of Kambli's acting career.

Kapil Dev

India's World Cup-winning captain, Kapil Dev has had a great aura around him. After the end of his career, the all-around great starred in a number of movies himself. Appearing in bit-part roles, Kapil Dev, played himself in 'Iqbal', 'Mujhse Shadi Karogi', 'Stumped' and a few more.

Syed Kirmani

One of India's greatest wicket-keepers, Syed Kirmani helped the team win their first world cup in 1983. Kirmani acted in a Malayalam movie by the name 'Mazhavillinattam Vare' in 2012. His biggest role however came in a 1985 movie by the name 'Kabhi Ajnabi The'. Unlike Kapil Dev, Kirmani had a very significant role in the movie. His career, however, did not flourish in movies as expected.
