Former skipper and Indian batting superstar Virat Kohli have recently made the cricketing fraternity doff off their hats to his batting brilliance. The 34-year-old smashed three ODI centuries in a course of almost one month. He also won the ‘player of the match award for his brilliant outing throughout the entire three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.

The veteran Delhi batter has now 46 ODI centuries to his name and is now only four centuries away from breaking the World record of 49 ODI centuries by former legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar. Apart from that, his amazing knock of 166 runs off just 110 balls in the third and last ODI against Sri Lanka also reflected the intent that the modern-day batting great could touch the individual mark of 200 runs in an ODI inning.

World number one T20I batter and star Indian batting sensation Suryakumar Yadav is termed as the batter who carried away the legacy of being Mr. 360 after the former Proteas batting legend AB de Villers. He smashed his third T20I century earlier this month in the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka.

Although, SKY is yet to prove himself in ODI cricket. But looking at his amazing batting intent and outstanding stroke-play technique across all corners of the ground, it can be said that the days are not so far when we’ll be seeing the 32-year-old lifting his bat after smashing an ODI double century.

KL Rahul

The regular vice-captain of the men in blue, KL Rahul is enduring a poor run of form with the bat for the last couple of months since Asia Cup 2022 followed by the 20-20 World Cup 2022 and the bilateral assignments against Bangladesh. But the batting potential of the veteran Karnataka batter can’t be questioned in ODI cricket as he has a very good average of 44.52 after 49 batting appearances in the 51 fixtures he played so far for India.

Currently, KL Rahul is not in action with the Indian team owing to family obligations. But he will be seen again in the Indian colors later in the upcoming white-ball assignments. Considering KLR’s previous heroics with the bat for team India, it would not be an exaggeration to say that he could also join the elite list of double centurions for India.
