Indian bowlers have lacked intent and experience in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. One of the factors that fans consider for the team’s failure is bowling. Fans went crazy whenever Avesh Khan came into the action. And the pacer only has himself to blame for his poor performances. Expensive overs, predictable bowling and bad lengths put him in a bad light.

Deepak Chahar has been doing well for India with the opportunities he has got so far. The pacer can swing the ball during the powerplay and will also prove to be useful in the death overs.

The Chennai bowler has 26 scalps to his name in the format. He was named as a standby for the Asia Cup and replaced Avesh Khan post the latter’s illness. He will look to prove himself at he gets a chance to play against Afghanistan in the next match.

Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj is known for his aggression and sheer pace. During his initial days, the bowler struggled to get his line and length right. However, over time he has become India’s trusted bowler.

He can be a great replacement for Avesh Khan as he can bowl in the death too. Any team would love to have him in the squad and India will make the best use of him in the 20-20 World Cup 2022.

4) Mohammed Shami

India’s best-ever bowler in any format next to Jasprit Bumrah. His exclusion from the Asia Cup squad puzzled everyone and India paid the price for it.

The selectors, having learnt the lesson, will look to bring him back for the 20-20 World Cup 2022. The veteran can pick wickets in the powerplay, in the death and can also be the strike bowler.
